Less is more. I love making software that really works — always , or as close as I can approach always.
Created a complex device driver for Windows 10 that provides security functions for Trend Micros’ main product line “Office Scan”. Today it runs on tens of thousands of machines for more than a year and has proven to be extremely stable and reliable. Designed and implemented backend services in c++ for security products on the Windows platform and analyzed critical product vulnerabilities.
Daily actives included isolation and reproduction of issues, live debugging at customer sites, analyzing memory dumps and cores, guiding product support escalation engineers, writing hotfixes and creating instrumented code for in depth troubleshooting.
Developed, designed and supported software for high availability systems for the medical and the telecommunication industry. The systems are based on Windows server cluster and Windriver Linux. Work included client and server software development in c/c++ and solving 3’rd level support escalations. I was technical lead for the root cause analysis team.
Planned, implemented and debugged storage solutions for enterprise customers. Includes SAN validation and debugging of large scale tape library infrastructure.
Managed and solved 3’rd level escalations and engineering issues for the EMEA (Europe/Middle East/Africa) region in the areas of storage, Windows NT/2000, system management and hardware. Specialities included SCSI/Fibre channel tracing and analysis, source level debugging of the Compaq specific device drivers, Windows NT/2000 driver programming/debugging, kernel debugging of Windows NT/2000 and advanced blue screen investigation.
