Determining what operational measures should be taken to best deal with the different types of incidents, both foreseen and unforeseen, including the necessary adjustments to the transport plan. Organising consultations with the various services, involved in managing train traffic, on the measures to be implemented by each of them. Analysing each incident where an emergency scenario was applied, drawing the necessary lessons from it and adapting the scenario to improve its effectiveness. Establishing and keeping up-to-date procedures for real-time staff. Drafting and keeping up-to-date guidelines for the real-time staff. Organising periodic simulation exercises to ensure that the operational services have a good response capability. Participating in training activities for B-TO.4 staff regarding the management of severely disrupted situations. Keeping seasonal plans up-to-date (e.g. summer plan, exceptional weather plan, etc.) and coordinating with the different operational services on the measures to be applied. Managing, improving and keeping up-to-date the digital documentation available to the real-time staff. The administration and follow-up of the different stages of validation of the documents available in the digital library.
Act as the interface between the infrastructure managers DB Netz, Infrabel & SNCF réseau in order to provide the rest of the OCC team with all the information needed to operate the Eurostar service. Ordering and adapting train paths on the Belgian, French and German networks. To be the main contact with our partner NS International (Product Control) for all information and changes for Eurostar trains in service on the Dutch network. Apply the procedures for managing anomalies that occur in order to guarantee the safety and continuity of rail operations. Dealing with faults to on-board safety devices and, where necessary, issuing the authorisations and traffic restrictions required by the regulations. Passing on damage to the entities in charge of maintenance (the fleet controller present at the OCC) Communicate (in French or English) the relevant information relating to the management of anomalies to the rest of the OCC team Recording events on the Eurostar network in order to provide the Performance & Compliance team with a quality database necessary for the company's continuous improvement. Recording all delays to trains running on the network Record all events affecting the safety or security of rail operations (of our customers, our agents, our facilities, our trains). Gather and record the information available to understand the event. Carry out an initial "hot" investigation to assign a responsible structure to each train delay, which will be completed "cold" by the Performance & Compliance teams. Passing on to the next shift holder all the information needed to carry out his/her duties, while maintaining continuity of service.
