About

I'm a structural designer and engineer familiar with and experienced in: lightweight structures such as shells, cable-nets and tents; innovative and complex geometries for buildings and bridges; as well as parametric design and computational optimization. I've been working on matching the supply and demand of buildings made from reclaimed, circular construction materials. I'm very interested in sustainability, self-sufficiency of buildings and material efficient design, and have been engaged in 3D printed materials (including concrete, recycled plastics and earth), as well as natural or biobased materials (such as timber, bamboo and strawbales). Honored to have been named 2024's Structural Engineer of the Year in the Netherlands. Our office won the Dutch National Timber Award for best building in 2024.
