• Redesigned inspection fixture to automate performing final check of every production part, increasing inspection efficiency • Designed 20+ custom parts in SolidWorks combined with off the shelf components to create a more robust fixture with less down time for maintenence • Used pneumatic actuation and ladder logic control on a PLC to automate the inspection process, decreasing the scrap rate as a result of subjective inspection
• Designed parts using Ansys SpaceClaim to guide water flow and reduce vibrations within nuclear reactor steam generators • Developed and performed CFD simulations in Ansys Fluent to model steam generator conditions and functionality of the device during operation to ensure a longer tube lifetime
