About

I am a family lawyer in the Divorce and Finances team of MSB Solicitors in Liverpool. I specialise in divorce and separation, including the dissolution of Civil Partnerships and their financial consequences. I have a particular experience in family run businesses in the context of applications for financial remedy orders. am also experienced in resolving financial disputes for unmarried families (TOLATA), pre-nuptial agreements and cohabitation agreements. I have a broad experience in financial remedy proceedings obtained through working in the legal profession in Lancashire and Manchester for more than twenty years. I provide driven and focused support to my clients to guide them through the process whilst being sensitive to their personal needs. I am committed to adopting a non-confrontational approach and work hard to provide proactive and constructive advice from the outset. However, I am experienced with Court proceedings and am comfortable adopting a more robust approach where necessary. I carry out as much of my own advocacy as possible.I love to be involved in our local community so I set up and run monthly free legal clinics at a wonderful, local charity, having become interested in volunteering when I was on a career break raising my children. I feel very lucky to be a busy family lawyer because it was my childhood ambition after being bitten by the “law bug” when I gave evidence in Court as a child after witnessing a road accident - according to my parents I was very dramatic about the whole thing! I’m still fascinated by the process, even now.
