Especialidades: Director / Film Editor Diana Toucedo is a filmmaker and editor living in Barcelona. Bachelor’s Degree in Cinema and video editing from University of Barcelona/ESCAC and Master’s Degree in Contemporary film theory from the University Pompeu Fabra. Her best known work to date is the documentary film edited with catalan director Isaki Lacuesta, All the night long, produced by TCM channel. Presented at the International Film Festival of San Sebastian in 2010 and awarded in several international festivals. Just as the FIPRESCI prize at the Rotterdam Film Festival 2013, The fifth gospel of Kaspar Hauser, a film by Alberto Gracia and produced by Zeitun films. She also has edited the film Bugarach from Nanouk Films in co-production with Filmtank (Germany), WDR, TVE and TV3. Death in La Alcarria, a feature film of Fernando Pomares, Sonata para violonchelo of Anna M. Bofarull. Nowadays she has edited Belén, a documentary film of Adriana Vila with Ibermedia support, Sin miedo of Claudio Zulian, and she is working in Penélope of Eva Vila with the support of Media Program, ICEC and UPF, and Júlia Ist, the last feature film of Lastor Media. As director she has made several documentaries and experimental short films shown at Film festivals and art centers. Diana has also directed a documentary film called En todas as mans, produced by Trespés and the coproduction of TVG and AGADIC. Currently she is editing her second documentary film, Thirty Lights, with the support of AGADIC. She also teaches in the Postgraduate programme in audiovisual editing iDEC/Pompeu Fabra University, in the Master in theory and practice of creative documentary making UAB and in ESCAC (UB).
El experimentado capitán de un barco pesquero y su tripulación de treinta hombres resisten su noveno mes embarcados en las gélidas aguas del Atlántico sur argentino. Para el capitán esta será su última aventura, la que verdaderamente confronta su pasado de cuarenta años en el mar con su próximo futuro: la vida en tierra por fin con su familia. Pero en este último viaje su hija, la directora, se embarcará para intentar encontrar al capitán que ha sido siempre un padre ausente. Un intenso drama de aventuras lleno de silencios que esconden verdades y miradas que buscan respuestas.
