I’m an economist with 15 years of experience across financial markets, funds management, and the superannuation industry. My days are spent looking at data releases, political commentary and markets but I translate what is going on into a story that is accessible to everyone—not just those in finance. My focus is on cutting through jargon and explaining economic concepts in a way that’s clear, practical, and relevant. Too often economists speak in jargon that even I get lost in. I think its critical to help everyone make sense of the economy around them, to help people feel empowered with their wealth and to make better financial decisions. As a part of the economics research team, my role is to develop and communicate views on the global and Australian economies. Our clients are the Commonwealth Bank and its institutional, corporate and retail clients. We publish Commonwealth Researchs views extensively, via all media channels, at conferences and at client meetings.
