I joined Crompton Greaves India as the youngest General manager - head of their Power Transformers Plant at Bhopal. This plant was making loss for 10 years since its inception. With my team, we could turn around this plant in a few months and thereafter profitably grow it at an exponential way. We were the first plant in India by any manufacturer to make 765kv Power Transformers. Because of this performance, I was given the full responsibility of Power Transformer business in India – consisting of their biggest plant in Mumbai (T1) and this plant in Bhopal (T3).
