Undertaking a Placement Year at a Fortune 500 Company where I take a strategic, data-led approach to growing our channel sales and strengthening key partnerships. My responsibilities include producing detailed performance reports, assessing bids, and analysing market trends to support commercial decision-making and identify new opportunities for growth. I work closely with HP account managers, internal sales teams, and external partners to deliver targeted campaigns that align with HP’s objectives. This includes driving product awareness, improving partner engagement, and supporting the rollout of new initiatives across the UK&I market. My role directly contributes to securing and growing high-value deals often reaching multi-million-pound figures across HP’s product portfolio. By combining commercial insight with strong relationship management, I help ensure sustained partner success and long-term revenue growth for both HP and TD SYNNEX.
I was responsible for delivering exceptional customer service. My duties included greeting and seating customers, taking orders, serving food and drinks, and handling payments. I had to ensure the dining area is clean and inviting, assist with any customer inquiries or issues, and maintain a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. I became Nandoca (Employee) of the Month in my first month.
I worked within multiple departments during my time at GB News - this includes the Directors team, the Data team, and the Bulletin team. I wrote multiple reports that were read live on air. I learnt how to write, speak, and think like a journalist/reporter.
I conducted in-depth research into Nigeria’s position on nuclear energy safety, disaster risk reduction, and relevant policies, while staying informed on international efforts to reduce nuclear risks. I collaborated with delegates from diverse countries to draft resolutions focused on enhancing global safeguards for nuclear energy, ensuring community protection, and promoting sustainable disaster risk management strategies. I articulated Nigeria's stance on nuclear energy risks and advocating for robust, inclusive mechanisms to protect vulnerable communities from the potential hazards associated with nuclear energy infrastructure. I engaged in dynamic debates to craft actionable solutions to mitigate nuclear energy risks, emphasising both technological safeguards and community resilience frameworks.
