As the head of Product Strategy at Zscaler, I have been responsible for defining overall vision and Zscaler’s Zero Trust strategy cementing its place as a leader in SSE and SASE space. During my decade plus journey at Zscaler, I had an opportunity to scale multiple product lines including Zscaler Internet Access (revolutionizing Internet Security) and Zscaler Private Access (Industry’s first ZTNA solution, scaling from 10Mn ARR to 700Mn+ ARR and growing). I have introduced multiple product lines that are making hundreds of millions in revenue today including ZDX, Zero Trust Branch and Cloud, AI Security and more. In addition to product roles, I have run various product lines as a General Manager where I am responsible for Sales, Product Marketing, engineering, Post-sales teams. Currently I am responsible for General Management for Zscaler’s AI Security portfolio. I have worked closely with our Corp Dev team on inorganic growth and investment opportunities that included acquisition of Appsulate, AirGap Networks, Canonic security, SPLX, SquareX in the past. Prior to Zscaler, I have worked in product management roles in Cisco and Actiance, and also was part of a startup team in India that introduced a cloud based managed UTM for SMBs in Indian market. I hold an MBA degree and Bachelors in Engineering degree specializing in Computer Science. I also hold multiple patents in security space and held many technical certifications in the past.
+ Running Product Management function for: Zscaler Zero Trust Exchange Platform, Zscaler for Users (ZIA/ZPA/ZDX), Zero Trust Cloud and Zero Trust Branch + Zscaler AI security portfolio + Go-To-Market teams including Engineering, Sales, Technical pre-sales as well as deployment/support for Zero Trust Networking teams and ZDX (Digital Experinece) + Zscaler wide Product Strategy focus including inorganic growth with M&A, investments and technical alliance partner integrations across the platform + Running Zscaler technical advisory council (TAC) and helping with agendas and scheduling for CXO Summits, Advisory Boards and Investor meetings
Responsible for the product management, field product management, GTM and 301-level technical field teams and strategy for Zscaler's market leading SSE platform that protects your users, workloads and OT/IOT devices. Also leading few of Zscaler's emerging products in connectivity and digital experience/analytics space as well as product strategy for M&A (Inorganic growth) for Zscaler. My team is responsible for product lines contributing about 90% of Zscaler’s total revenue.
After a brief career break, now focused on growing Zscaler's flagship products as well as emerging product business. I have 4 areas of responsibility across Zscaler in my current role: 1. Product Management for Zscaler Internet Access (ZIA) and Cyber security portfolio 2. General Manager responsible for product management, marketing, pre-sales and post-sales for: + Zscaler Digital Experience (ZDX) + Zscaler Workload Protection, including workload segmentation and zero trust for workloads + Zero Trust SD-WAN 3. Product Strategy for Zscaler Platform including: + Identity + Cloud Operations and Infrastructure, APIs, Logging etc. + Data path including Cloud, Branch and 5G 4. Responsible for M&A strategy, strategic investments for Zscaler along with Corp. Dev. and Zscaler Executive team.
Product Manager - Socialite and Unified Security Gateway. Role included Product Ideation and strategy, launching v 1.0 products, UI wireframes and mockups, product life cycle management for major releases, patch releases and filter releases, OEM and Partner relationships, Competitive strategy, Pre-Sales and Sales support, Sales Training, Marketing support and act as an interface between various stakeholders (Customers, Sales, Sales Engineers, Engineering, Exec Team).
Unified Threat Management as a service start up in India before UTMs penetrated the market. First cloud security product built in India. Role: Services and Products Portfolio management including Cloud Security, in-house UTM, System Integration partner products, Managed Services and Professional Services portfolio. Alliance Management with SI Partners and partner product portfolio management including Cisco, Dell, HP, Symantec and Fortinet. Product Marketing and collateral creation, GTM planning, Pricing, IMS and SI Solution Designing and Vendor Management. Managed a sales team of 4 reps, running India wide sales operations and inside sales function.
Campus recruited for Product Management role for CiscoWorks LAN Management Solution (LMS). Role: Product Management [CiscoWorks Portal, CiscoWorks Assistant, CiscoView]. Generating PRD, MRD and contributing to overall SRD for CiscoWorks, delivering wireframes and mockups. Work closely with Development teams, Architects, TME and Cisco Channels teams across globe. Account Management for 2 large SP accounts, Marketing including onsite demos and roadshows and virtual demos via Telepresnece, Meeting place and webex, collateral creation and Cisco TG Interlock, customer data mining and internal wiki space administration. Contributed towards PACE and CiscoWorks HUM product road map and Marketing.
