About

Hi there, I'm Justin! I'm currently a first year student at NTU, pursuing an interdisciplinary double major of Biomedical Sciences and BioBusiness, under NTU School of Biological Sciences in collaboration with Nanyang Business School and NTUPreneur. I am also an inaugural recipient of the Nanyang Global Scholarship and part of the inaugural cohort of NTU Honours College. An aspiring premed, I hope to learn about the underlying systems where healthcare runs, to further improve it. BioBusiness is a specialized branch of business, catered to the Biomedtech and healthcare industry. It is the business and management of to biomedical technology, healthcare and bio-entrepreneurship, with topics from business development, R&D, venture capital, intellectual property, patents, regulatory affairs, and other specialized knowledge. I am keen on creating solutions to improve people’s lives. Using knowledge in the sciences, I hope to attain technical skills in computing and relevant business acumen catered to the biomedical and health industry, bridging sciences, technology, and business. Currently, I am to learning more about AI, deep tech, big data, and innovation within biomedtech and its endless possibilities as biology becomes a data-driven field. On the side, I perform front-end coding (design related), sometimes doing back-end in Hackathons, website development, and keen to learn more on AI and its applications. I'm eager to connect, collaborate on research, do volunteering/internships, and pursue opportunities that aligns with my future goals in business, technology, studies, and beyond.

    Research Attachment, assisting in the Outram Community Hospital (OCH) Physiology Department to assess the role and significance of Health Tech in aiding patient recovery and rehabilitation under SGH’s Data Science division. Utilized web development tools, as well as Artificial Intelligence (AI) to provide personalized experiences for patients in interacting with a health-trained AI Chat Bot. Responsible for health tech communication and onboarding of patients in patient-facing roles.     Part of the App Usability Team of Face AI during the NTU veNTUre program. 1. Took charge of on-the-ground deployment and clinical data collection, directly communicating with elderly patients to conduct usability testing for the Face-AI kiosk. Obtained 50+ participant for data collection. 2. Contributed to the kiosk UI/UX using Figma, expanding on other platforms including mobile app and web layout for Face-AI. Integrated original hand-drawn digital animations to make the technology and tools more intuitive for seniors. 3. Collaborated on the full web development prototype. Continuing as a part-time intern.
