I am a full-time National Serviceman and a prospective Civil Engineering undergraduate at the National University of Singapore, with a diploma in Biomedical Engineering from Temasek Polytechnic. My academic foundation in laboratory techniques, data analysis, and engineering lab management has equipped me with strong problem-solving and technical skills, which I aim to apply in the Civil Engineering domain. I bring leadership experience and a collaborative mindset, honed through team-based projects and diverse work settings. Passionate about infrastructure development and sustainable urban solutions, I am eager to contribute to projects that shape efficient, resilient, and future-ready cities.
- Operated centrifuges to separate whole blood and extract blood components. - Utilized extractors to obtain various blood components. - Processed blood components into respective products, including pooling of platelets and preparation of cryoprecipitate. - Packed blood products for collection by hospital porters and international shipment. - Managed the movement of blood packs for processing, inventory checks, and storage.
During my internship at KMITL, I gained hands-on experience in both technical projects and international collaboration efforts. My key responsibilities included: Technical Projects: - Developed a Ventilator prototype, integrating hardware and software components, troubleshooting design issues, and refining functionality on Arduino. - Designed, assembled, and programmed a robotic arm for the Robotics in Medicine project using ROS on Ubuntu (via Oracle VirtualBox), Arduino, and 3D modelling tools. - Conducted ESP32 self-study modules and applied knowledge to design IoT systems incorporating sensors such as DHT11, ultrasonic sensors, and OLED displays. International Affairs (IA) Contributions: - Assisted the Engineering International Affairs Office with administrative and operational tasks, including organising events and documentation. - Supported initiatives to foster cross-cultural engagement between international interns and local Thai students through gatherings and networking sessions. - Represented the department in communications/ logistics with visiting international delegations, promoting cultural and academic exchange. This dual-role internship helped me enhance my technical skills, gain project management experience, and develop cross-cultural communication and teamwork abilities, preparing me for a versatile career in Biomedical Engineering.
