I help organizations take control of their digital identities. As a Senior IAM Consultant, I specialize in navigating complex migration and implementation projects. From automating onboarding/offboarding via Workflows to architecting complex B2B and B2C authentication flows, I bridge the gap between technical security requirements and business agility.
Leading our IAM function, I bridge hands-on technical leadership with strategic architectural oversight, guiding day-to-day engineering efforts while shaping a scalable, secure identity and access management architecture that aligns with our business goals.
In this role i am the technical owner of the IAM platform. In my day to day i am responsible for creating and maintaining a roadmap, create the architecture for our data flows, authentication, authorization, governance and joiner, mover & leaver processes. Next to these technical responsibilities i am also coaching and training others with self created training packages. As part of my position i'm often asked as an advisor to other teams and companies when we merge, integrate new systems or create new features.
In my role as application manager i was tasked to create an application management team specializing in centralizing the application management while leaving the functional ownership with the application owners. This meant creating a lot of relationships and processes while inventorizing the resources and taking control of the core applications. This team was highly successful with high diverse skill set that ranged from program managers to developers and together were able to answer and support the business very well in managing existing applications, assessing new software requests, taking part in the procurement of new applications. We used application portfolio management to structure all of this and this allowed us together with enterprise architecture to connect application features to business processes.
A a sysadmin i was responsible for end user hardware, local Windows and Linux servers, Juniper networking, Audio & Video systems and managing all these during the day to day business as well as procuring the hard and software. Next to that i also ran larger projects like moving offices, arranging contractors to realise all the correct connections and cabling in the new offices. Part of this was creating a process for our regular moving and opening satellite offices internationally. For this i created standardized network and compute packages which could be prepared beforehand and kept on storage and could be installed by non tech savvy personnel with a custom manual for flexibility and speed. This included everything from fuse box and cabling requirements that could be shown to the contractor to all networking connections that needed to be made for computers, access points and security cameras.
