Working as a freelance marketeer gave me the ability to work on numerous projects. Mainly focusing on social media and paid advertising I've created and executed worldwide campaigns and conversations. Working with a variety of different brands from fashion to home appliances to crowdfunding projects, this enabled me to expand my knowledge of the marketing industry. In my freelance career I've undertaken more PR projects and email marketing campaigns, generating a high level of sales and interest. One of my biggest clients working freelance was Manchester Airport, which opened doors creating content about brands such as Dune London, KFC, Virgin Atlantic and Easy Jet which were located in the airport.
Miller Metcalfe is an estate agency with 10 branches across the North West. Starting with the company my main focus was to grow the social accounts and improve brand awareness. With a strong passion for the local communities the branches are in I created a full strategy plan on how we would do this from getting involved with community events to raising money for local charities I managed to increase their social online presence by 200%. Using fresh innovate ideas, along with the rest of the team we created what we liked to call a 'Home Hub' the social presence consisted of DIY Home Hacks, recommendations of local businesses and property news. Partnering up with other local businesses we created competitions and conversation between our clients, bringing the community together on our social pages. This meant creating and executing B2B and B2C social strategies. Being an estate agency meant that targeting different audiences for different properties was key. For each area or type of property we would create a 'character profile' of different demographics and interests. As social media manager I would create personal plans, track the budget, ROIs of marketing campaigns and KPIs. Using a range of management tools such as Sprout Social and Trelo to manage deadlines and work loads efficiently. Weekly checks and monthly meetings on competitor analysis was vital to ensure we were top of our game and making sure we stayed in the Zoopla top 10 estate agencies on social media.
I worked for AmeriCamp and it's sister companies such as Camp Thailand, Camp Maldives, Camp Caribbean, Aus Job, and Invasion. My role was to find and create content for all social media accounts and platforms. I liaised with customers on a daily basis, keeping our brands tone of voice and ensuring our values and visions are relayed to our target audience correctly. Measuring the success of social media content through management tools, also analysing KPI's is something that I did myself and with my team on a regular basis. A use of web tracking tools like Google Analytics shows us the effectiveness of our marketing techniques.
