I possess a strong desire to acquire knowledge in the engineering fields, leadership & personal development. In my current career as systems test engineer with United Launch Alliance in Cape Canaveral Space Force Station (CCCFS), I test and process Delta IV and Atlas V launch vehicles for both east coast (CCSFS) and west coast (Vandenberg Space Force Base) missions. I’ve always had a fascination with new technology. I understand the importance of continual improvement and lifelong learning. My six years in the Navy started me down my engineering path by introducing me to electromechanical systems and the troubleshooting process and I’ve continued to grow my knowledge and experiences ever since. Most of my employment has been a based around customer service in some form or fashion. Prior to my time as an engineer, I worked in the fast food industry, supermarkets, education, animal care, and served six years in the United States Navy. I'm not one to fear the unknown or to accept blindly that something must be accomplished a set way. I love taking an unconventional approach to solving problems. Through my experiences, I’ve found the best solutions to problems are found when we work together as a team.
Assigned to the Asset Management Department, Electrical Systems Engineering Group under Test and Operations Support Contract (TOSC). Responsible for maintaining operational readiness of electrical ground support equipment used in support of launch efforts for NASA's new Space Launch System (SLS).
Team member on Kennedy Ground Control Subsystems engineering team, under the ESC with NASA. Tasks include providing engineering support for the lead qualification engineer to qualify subsystem components for vibration, acoustic, thermal, and electromagnetic interference requirements. As part of the qualification team, I developed the PLC testing software using Allen-Bradley’s RSLogix 5000 platform and 1756-L63 & 1756-L73 controllers. I developed wiring diagrams, cable run lists, test procedures, and test reports qualifying over 130 different electrical and electronic components consisting of; Allen-Bradley’s ethernet and controlnet communication modules, ControlLogix Digital & Analog I/O modules, Stratix 6000 & 8000 ethernet managed switches, circuit breakers (various ratings), terminal blocks, disconnect switches, and Weed Instrument optical channel multiplexers that are used across all ground support systems for NASA’s new SLS. Completed the Command and Control (C&C) to Emergency Safing (EMSF) circuit switchover and PLC reset study. Developed the test procedure and report from the conducted study and delivered report to our NASA customer exceeding expectations. Team member on Cryogenics Software Design Team. Assigned as Local Software Developer Lead for the SLS Mobile Launcher and Launch Complex 39 – Pad B; LH2, LO2, and GMPS subsystems. Responsible for maintaining and updating the PLC code to meet NASA standards and requirements using Allen-Bradley’s RSLogix 5000 platform, develop the HMI panel-view displays using Allen-Bradley’s Factorytalk View ME & SE platform for all three cryo subsystems at both locations. Team member on Ignition Over-Pressure/ Sound Suppression (IOP/SS) Software Design Team. Assigned as Local Software Developer Lead for IOP/SS subsystem used at Launch Complex 39 – Pad B. Responsible for maintaining and updating the PLC code to meet NASA standards and requirements using Allen-Bradley’s RSLogix 5000 platform.
Performed necessary duties to care for over 120 greyhounds. Duties include feeding, medicating, walking, and grooming. Maintains inventory of equipment and cleaning supplies, and a clean living environment for all the greyhounds.
Tutored Daytona State College students at Academic Support Center for coursework in; Numerisc, Pre-Algebra, College Algebra, Trigonometry, Pre-calculus, and the Calculus series. What a great opportunity tutoring my fellow DSC peers. During my experience tutoring others in Mathematics, I learned all problems, not only in Mathematics, but also in life, have multiple avenues one can use to uncover a solution. When I first started tutoring it was difficult for me to help others. I could easily see the solution, but not communicate effectively the method I used to solve the problem. With the help from a wiser and more experienced tutor, I learned how to bring my thought process back to the basics and how to use simple analogies many could relate to. I used these analogies to explain the system needed to approach the given problem.
