I have 33 years of Commercial experience within the Construction industry, which have spanned two periods, from 1980 until present. I am currently employed by Carnell Group, working primarily on two contracts for Highways England East Region, covering civils + electrical works. I previously worked for Galliford Try, working on Highways England's Regional Delivery Partnership for the East. I previously worked for Shilcocks (Commercial Consultants), working at the Norwich Railway sidings project. Providing commercial support to 1st In Rail, who are the civils subcontractor for the provision of the new Services package and Swansea Railway Station upgrade. i previously worked for Balfour Beatty, at the Norwich Northern Distributor Road (circa £127m) project, which is the vital link road for the area to the North of Norwich and previously on RAF Marham - work packages B & C preceeding further works packages, all leading to the delivery of the new F35 Lightening II jets in Summer 2018. I previously worked for Amey, on the Highways Agency's Area 6 & 8 Contracts, dealing with the Maintenance of the trunk roads in East Anglia, Cambs., Herts. and Beds. My role of Commercial Manager, dealt with the procurement and management of Supply Chain accounts, Target Cost pricing and agreement, production of mthly valuations for client billing, production of mthly CVR figures, general Commercial Management of Lump Sum/Cyclical duties, pricing/agreement of Compensation Events etc. Throughout my career I have demonstrated an ability to succeed in various roles, through my knowledge, experience and determination. Furthermore my varied experience both in and outside of the Construction Industry, has provided me with additional skills and experience, particularly – communicating with a wide variety of people, from different backgrounds/business positions and in different situations. During my career to date I have shown an ability to adapt to changes in roles / situations, sometimes through career path and others through business re-structures.
