Oversee and co-ordinate operations of the Youth and Community Chaplaincy services. Provide spiritual and emotional support to all who reach out for a helping hand. Helping communities find a better way to deal with issues ranging from family breakdown and loneliness, to drug abuse, depression and anxiety. Pprovide a listening ear and a caring presence for those in crisis, and those who just need a friend.
Ecclesiastical duties: Prepare and conduct services of Public Worship: Plan music in association with musicians/choir/song leader. Prepare and deliver sermons and bible study. Conduct counselling, including: pre-marital marital family personal Stress management. Administer Sacraments such as Baptism, Communion and Ordination of Local Church Officials. Visitation of members in their homes, hospitals or other institutions to provide comfort to those with problems or illness. Perform marriages according to ecclesiastical and civil law. Conduct funerals and special memorial services for the deceased. Conduct classes of religious instruction. Participate in social and welfare activities within the church and community.
Coordination of all functions of the above establishment, formulation of policies and objectives and ensure that finance, staffing, training and marketing arrangements operate efficiently. – In particular: Promoting and Advertising of said establishment/s within the community. Evaluate data and write reports including submissions requesting funding for continuing programs and new projects. Research the Prospects of establishing or administering the concept of neighborhood houses, community groups, employment training programs or other services for the proactive benefit of the community. Participate in social and welfare activities within the community. Coordination of the development and establishment of a multipurpose youth centre in the Oxenford Coomera corridor. Liaise with other appropriate specialist professionals, support workers or community agencies to establish a network of support for the community. Deal with matters relating to salaries, termination and other employment matters. Selection, supervision and training of staff. Development and maintenance of information systems. Oversee and control office function. Liaise with other departments and or Establishments.
