Computers have been instrumental to the core of my being since I was a child. With early multimedia programs like Microsoft Encarta and Cinemania, I became convinced that computers could educate in new and exciting ways. Computer games provided a source of inspiration, conjuring worlds into being that were only possible with films or television. Additionally, they provided me with a way to communicate and connect with others who shared my interests that otherwise would have been significantly harder in the physical world. These experiences enthralled me with the possibilities of what computers can do for individuals and society, and fueled my interest in contributing to the field by earning a degree in Computer Science. Several notable character traits helped me immensely in my academic career and beyond. My indomitable drive and will have pushed me to success even after an initial failure or two. Throughout my struggles in life, my ability to stay consistently motivated even when dealing with numerous stressors has allowed me to surmount obstacles and achieve goals. Along with fulfilling my own artistic hobbies like drawing and creative writing, my creativity has helped me navigate both the difficulties of course work and day-to-day living. My capacity for strategic and tactical planning has allowed me to become the most optimal and efficient person I can be.
· Developed and executed Apex unit tests, including creating new classes to support code coverage, functionality validation, and platform reliability within Salesforce. · Repaired broken functionality within Salesforce by fixing links to the client’s Certificate of Insurance and displaying relevant data for the client. · Added functionality to Salesforce by writing new Lightning Web Components for displaying pertinent data and web links. · Reduced computation time and memory usage by refactoring unit tests.
· Prototyped GIS software solutions, developing RESTful APIs with React and Python Flask on Docker and AWS EC2. · Managed, maintained, and optimized relational databases using Python, ElasticSearch, and Apache Kafka, streamlining data ingestion and retrieval for high-volume GIS applications. · Applied advanced data science techniques, including Natural Language Processing (NLP) and data aggregation with Pandas, to extract insights and enhance GIS software capabilities.
