Continuing work from my doctoral thesis. Setting up optogenetics for future experiments. (Molecular Physiology and Cell Biology, AG Haucke)
Joint Doctoral student with Prof. Dr. Tanja Maritzen (Membrane Traffic and Cell Motility) and Prof. Dr. Volker Haucke (Molecular Physiology and Cell Biology). I applied extensive electrophysiology (patch-clamp and extracellular in acute brain slices), protein biochemical and immunostaining methods to study repetitive motor behavior in a new mouse model for autism and obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD).
Carried out advanced live-cell microscopy in primary neurons to elucidate the role of actin during endocytic presynaptic membrane retrieval. (Molecular Physiology and Cell Biology, AG Haucke)
Studying oncogenic Ras mutants in human colorectal cancer cells and elucidating mechanisms of whole-chromosome missegregation during mitosis. (Department of Cellular Oncology, AG Bastians)
Studying microtubule assembly during cell division and its role for chromosomal instability in cancer. (Department of Cellular Oncology, AG Bastians)
