With 13+ years of industry experience as a Senior UI/Frontend Engineer, I have honed my skills in designing and developing user-friendly, accessible, and responsive web applications for various domains and clients with a focus on modern Angular application development (version 11+) using RxJS for asynchronous API communication and NgRX for UI state management. I am a true hybrid designer/developer who is equally comfortable producing advanced mockups in Figma as I am forging solid JavaScript code in my IDE. I relish working on large-scale enterprise projects that utilize comprehensive design systems where highly organized SASS styles using OOCSS or BEM are expected. One of my core passions revolves around Accessibility. I have worked on numerous enterprise-level finance and federal government applications where AAA compliance was not just a "nice-to-have." This experience has allowed me to achieve proficiency with tools such as NVDA, JAWS, and Axe.
I am currently on the DPM3 project serving as a Senior Salesforce Developer Tasks include: - Integration of Salesforce components in conjunction with a SOQL backend architecture. - Prototyping in Balsamiq and Figma. - Translating prototypes into functional code within the Salesforce CRM. - Identifying issues with Accessibility and providing cross-team solutions.
This role provided me with the opportunity to develop a complete design system for Relogix's industry-leading commercial real-estate analysis tools using Figma. Additionally, I was one of 2 senior developers tasked with implementing components and building new features in the front-end with Angular 11.
As a senior consultant with Backbase, I worked closely with financial institutions of all shapes and sizes to revitalize and re-envision their digital offerings in all major segments: Retail, Wealth and B2B.
- Focus on enterprise-level single-page application development using Angular version 1.2 through 5. Maintenance and feature development for Angular 1.x codebases and migrations to version 4+. - Structuring of efficient and organized CSS for large applications using various flavours of BEM architecture and SASS 3.4. - Effective use of modern JavaScript coding and design patterns when applicable (module, singleton, IIFE, decorator, factory etc.) - Dedicated to life-long learning and sharing knowledge through the coaching of junior-intermediate front-end developers.
- Client-side application development with a focus on Adobe Experience Manager CMS integration. The libraries used included AngularJS, and in situations when Angular was overkill, self-contained ES6 modules bundled with Rollup.js formed the code base. - Styles were built with Sass in a component-based architecture that borrowed the best parts of B.E.M.'s philosophies while avoiding overly strict naming conventions.
