Contracted by the rapidly growing Fox Crypto, a supplier for innovative projects to the Ministry of Defense and various international governmental and non-governmental organizations, to address the lagging quality of their production line. Dennis played a leading role in establishing a test organization that ensures production adheres to strict ECSS standards. Key Contributions and Achievements: Fundamental Improvement: Initiated and implemented a comprehensive test strategy for the production line, aligning it with rigorous aerospace standards (ECSS). Standardization: Significant role in requirement management and developed uniform test specifications, procedures, and templates for the three main projects, which are now the company standard. Quality Assurance: Introduced and managed an effective defect management process, resulting in significantly improved test discipline. Innovation and Efficiency: Within one year, collaborated with developers to automate all possible tests, allowing future projects to directly benefit from scalable and reusable test methods. Integration: Laid the groundwork for traceability, from (inter)national standards, main requirements, and technical requirements, all the way to test cases and their associated system and design requirements. Technology: Leveraged Jira, Jama, Jenkins, and Pytest for robust test process support and automation.
E.on Germany, a Traxion client, faced challenges with the rapid growth of its Identity and Access Management (IAM) projects. Dennis was tasked with creating a structured approach and test organization to maintain the quality of the Sailpoint implementation, which supports 400,000 employees. The HR platform was migrated from SAP SuccessFactors to SailPoint and Azure across multiple countries. This involved reverse engineering, updates/patches, a complete upgrade of the Sailpoint integrations, version management, bug solving, and test automation. Dennis introduced several quality-enhancing innovations. He implemented JIRA for all project members, provided a comprehensive wiki on testing and quality development, created a separate Kanban track for testing, and facilitated different competencies across teams. His initiatives for test automation, onboarding process, and templates significantly improved the project’s quality and efficiency. This resulted in more efficient sprints, better understanding, an auditable trail, and a reduction of production severities from 4 per month to zero, marking the first CI/CD pipeline within Eon Germany. During this period, Dennis introduced several innovations to enhance quality. These included the creation of a separate Kanban track for testing, which provided clarity for all team members and project participants. He also facilitated the custodians of different competencies across various teams. His responsibilities encompassed reverse engineering from Traxion’s predecessors, updates/patches, a complete upgrade of the Sailpoint integrations, version management (evergreen), bug solving (fail fast), and test automation. Dennis initiated the first setups for test automation, the onboarding process, and templates, among other things. These efforts significantly contributed to improving the overall quality and efficiency of the projects.
Interim test manager during the holiday and parental planning of a colleague test manager. Dennis organised the User Acceptance Tests in three weeks for the new HR implementation for the first of two phases: 1A and 1B. The findings provided clarity on the status quo of the planning and provided the information needed to reasses the planning for the remaining and time critical period of the HR programme. For the second part Dennis delivers a planning for the remainder of the tests and makes agreements with the stakeholders: HR process managers, HRA, support and configuration consultants. A checklist for test intake 1B checklist, including deadlines, status and action holders is delivered to the colleague test manager as handover.
