As a teacher at Franklin Township High School, my daily duties included the development of curriculum based lesson plans, differentiated instruction, record keeping, data driven assessments, communication with colleagues, parents, and community stakeholders. During my tenure in this district I conducted research in developing programs to lower the number of students at-risk of failure. I created program proposals that were in the beginning stages of implementation in the district. As a Dean of Students for Franklin, I was responsible for conducting investigations involving student disciplinary issues and interviewing students in order to understand the entire incident. My position also focused on disciplinary meetings with students, parents, and administrators. These meetings included developing research based lessons and strategies to improve the overall well-being of the student population. I also focused my attentions to the development of programs leading to the reduction of st-risk students dropping out and the increase of graduation rates.
