Extensive experience conducting watershed analyses, fish habitat and impact assessments, fish species composition and distribution studies, fish passage risk analyses, bird and amphibian surveys, instream flow planning, water rights permitting, stream restoration, forestry, and instream construction monitoring. Primary or contributing author for various permitting and regulatory documents including biological assessments for federal Endangered Species Act consultations, Incidental Take Permit applications pursuant to California Endangered Species Act, National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA), and Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) relicensing. Representative projects include working on the CEQA process for the Klamath Dam Removal project, PG&E Humboldt Bay Nuclear Power Plant decommissioning, Kidder Creek (Scott River, CA) instream flow study, Tuolumne River Don Pedro Project relicensing, and a variety of watershed restoration projects.
Conducted watershed analyses on public and private lands, sediment source inventories, instream habitat and anadromous salmonid monitoring, and fish passage assessments. Participated in timber harvest planning and impact assessments, development of NEPA/CEQA documents, biological assessments, and various reports.

Owned and operated an oyster mariculture company in Humboldt Bay, CA during time-off periods from commercial fishing. Duties included welding all off-the-bottom racks, oyster nursery and grow-out, marketing, accounting, advertising, employee management, etc.
