“The Bachelor of Design (Communication) at Otago Polytechnic encompasses a wide range of media and processes. Our approach is unique in New Zealand, and will offer you many opportunities to work in a broad range of creative areas and on cross-disciplinary projects. In this role, I teach professional practice for design students engaging in client-based projects. I am also responsible for supervising students in graphic design, branding, and marketing and giving them an in-depth understanding of the design thinking process and user-centred design. I've also developed relationships with industry and finding collaborative opportunities to enhance learner's journey. Below are some of the student projects of our students.
• Designing of Marketing and brand strategy for the company - improving marketing collaterals and sales touch points online and on print • Assist in graphic design needs for Clients and for the Company management
Designed/Created various artworks and 3D works for all clients ranging from P&G, Splash Corporation, HBC, Unilab, TCL and other pharmaceutical companies. Uses Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign, iMovie, Google Sketchup + Vray Plugins, etc.
Supervise and manage the Export Department – Design, Marketing, Production and Quality Control. Interact with foreign buyers in shows both here and internationally. Directly interact with buyers from all regions of the world – USA, Germany, Japan, Duabi, Korea, UK, etc. Oversee costing and manufacturing of all export goods. Ensure proper time management of production. Handle queries and issues of the customers and immediately resolve them effectively.
Managed SMART Communications Accounts particularly Addict Mobile; Addict Mobile Prepaid and some SMART Corporate projects. Prepared comprehensive advertising campaign strategies, brand and competitive reviews, creative briefs, competitive analysis, status and contact reports. Presented to Client Campaign Materials, Communication Plans and Strategic Reports and Updates. Supervised and coordinated with Clients, Creative and Media Team for proper execution and implementation of several projects with TV, radio, print and collaterals.
