I’m a physician and systems-oriented leader driving the implementation of lifestyle medicine in clinical care and public health. At Klinik Arlesheim, I design and lead Switzerland’s first clinical department for lifestyle medicine. As President and Co-Founder of the Lifestyle Medicine Society Switzerland – the first NGO and largest professional network for lifestyle medicine in the German-speaking region – I help accelerate the transition toward effective, evidence-based and patient-centered healthcare. My work focuses on translating a human-centered and interdisciplinary approach into medical strategy, improving long-term health outcomes, and connecting professionals across disciplines and countries. Current Focus - Clinical Strategy: Developing and scaling lifestyle medicine in practice. - Network Leadership: Growing a cross-sector community of healthcare professionals. - Global Collaboration: Partnering with international institutions and speaking at national and global events. - Human-Centered Care: Advocating for a medicine that connects science, empathy, and systems thinking. I see lifestyle medicine as one of the most complex and promising fields in modern healthcare, requiring medical expertise, interdisciplinary collaboration, and the ability to truly transform lives. Let’s connect if you’re working on innovative solutions to shape the future of healthcare.
Contributing to the strategic development and global alignment of Lifestyle Medicine as an evidence-based standard in healthcare. As European Representative, I support international collaboration across organizations, promote the integration of Lifestyle Medicine into clinical practice and medical education, and help strengthen a shared global framework for prevention and health promotion. Working alongside global leaders to advance scalable, practice-oriented approaches that translate evidence into real-world healthcare systems.
