Hi, I’m Delisa — a magna cum laude graduate of the University at Albany, where I studied Communications and minored in Psychology. I’ve spent the past 10 years working in the beauty industry, combining my passion for natural hair with a love for teaching, creativity, and connection. Today, I work as a licensed natural hair stylist and instructor, specializing in braids and locs. I teach at a hair school, helping students build confidence and develop real-world skills. Along the way, I’ve had the chance to travel for work, support a diverse range of clients—including a few public figures—and explore content creation as a way to share what I’ve learned. Whether I’m styling, teaching, or creating, my goal is always to make people feel seen, supported, and inspired. I’m always open to connecting, learning from others, and building meaningful relationships in this space.Let's connect!
As an instructor at a hair school, I teach students the fundamentals and advanced techniques of natural hair care, braiding, and loc maintenance. I develop and lead hands-on lessons that cover theory, sanitation, product knowledge, client communication, and styling techniques. My role includes mentoring aspiring stylists, preparing them for state board exams, and equipping them with the skills and confidence needed to succeed in the beauty industry. I also stay up-to-date with industry trends to ensure students receive relevant and high-quality education.
