Decky Omukoba is a lecturer in the department of Communication and Media studies at Kenyatta University. Majorly, her area of research can be defined as emerging interpersonal communication. Within this realm of communication, she is interested in the ways individuals reproduce and communicate their ever-changing identities. Specifically, her research focuses on communication in communities of the mind. Her most recent work has explored the communication practices of new technology and online interactions. Within this work, she attempts to identify self presentations online and virtual identity development. She is also interested in everyday performances of identity.
