David Eckhardt

Teaching Professor at Carnegie Mellon University

Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, United States

About

I teach upper-level Systems classes to juniors, seniors, and M.S. students. I focus on higher-level educational experiences which help students develop into detail-oriented, open-ended, self-steering problem solvers. I serve as associate director of our "MSCS" course-based Master's of Science program. I am the primary student advisor for the program. In addition, I advise undergraduate CS majors. As vice president of VoteAllegheny, a non-partisan volunteer election-integrity organization, I serve the larger community by advocating for trustworthy election systems. My primary areas of technological specialization are operating systems and computer networks.
