Parkside Outreach Program Thrift store and Community Assistance PARKSIDE OUTREACH PROGRAM·MONDAY, DECEMBER 30, 2019· We at Parkside Outreach would love to tell you about who we are and the services that we offer. The directors, Jennifer Boatright Harlow and Debbie Pierce Humphries were raised in the town of Baileyton, Alabama and watched people struggle through hard times with no local help available. Suffering themselves at times, they know how it can feel as if no one cares or can help and they completely understand. Our goal at Parkside Outreach Program is to help as many people in our community and surrounding area as possible (10 mile radius of our facility). We provide food from our Food Pantry on the 1st Saturday of every month. If you are short on food, feel free to visit our store and we will fill out a short application to see if you qualify. We can also (if funds are available) help with financial hardships if needed. Debbie has been trained to assist people with food stamp (SNAP) applications and may be able to assist in getting you other benefits that you may be unaware are available to you. So, please give her a call or come by the store and she will try to help you in any way possible. Parkside Outreach Program is a non-profit organization and we are funded totally on the proceeds from our Thrift Store profits and monetary donations. We gladly take donations of can or non-perishable foods,gently used clothing, shoes, and household items etc. Please feel free to stop by our store (located in the old Dowdle Gas building,also A&D Motors)and shop our wide variety of merchandise.
