I am a Front End Web Developer but my background is pretty unique. In addition to my knowledge of React, JavaScript REST API's and HTML I'm also a Master Planner. I have over 10 years of experience in food & beverage manufacturing and leadership and over 10 years as a business owner in the stone masonry construction industry. I’ve led and mentored teams of 20+ people for most of my career, ensuring that products are produced efficiently, on time and to the clients satisfaction. My journey has been an exciting blend of culinary arts and tech innovation, resulting in a distinctive, yet vast, skill set that I bring to the table. • Design and maintained several production schedules for our food manufacturing kitchens based on unique daily and seasonal am, lunch and pm menus. • Creating production orders based on demand for clients. • Selected to join a cross-functional development team working remotely alongside a software developers firm to design the logic and implement the company’s ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) software. This has resulted in improved warehouse inventory accuracy, efficient scheduling of production orders and financial reporting.
• Developed and implemented an advanced Material Resource Planner (MRP) and forecasting web-based application, reporting on KPIs quarterly which saw an average of around 36% reduction in inventory waste annually. • Assessed production order deviation reports on run times and costs then suggested continuous improvement initiatives, including the product and facility improvements.
• Led and managed over 25 employee's across packaging and manufacturing departments.
• Led, managed and held accountable a team of 30 employees responsible for the manufacturing, logistics and operations. • Spearheaded the company’s research and development program, driving the successful launch of more than 12 innovative products. These creations were prominently featured in the National Best selling book The Greenhouse Juice Cookbook. company’s bestselling cookbook. • Managed a wide variety of functions with minimal training and oversight required, including procurement, logistics management, as well as various managerial duties, including overseeing recruitment processes, ensuring smooth facility management, and performing data analysis and reporting for finance-related purposes. • Engineered and deployed a robust MRP application to manage inventory across 15 locations. By generating daily and weekly demand forecasts for all products, this implementation streamlined operational efficiency across the departments under my management.
