I handle underwriting currently up to $7,500,000 individually with a co-sign up to $10,000,000 for our Career Agency System portion of Penn Mutual while also providing dedicated service to our Star Producers. Previously I worked with our partners for the NY Metro portion of the Independence Financial Network and the M Group Financial customers. I served on the pilot program for the paperless ACE (Accelerated Client Experience) beginning in August 2017, participating in testing of the process, identifying potential defects and enhancements, and ultimately in the underwriting on ACE cases as well and continue to underwrite ACE cases.
I handled all aspects of underwriting working specifically with our Advantage Insurance Network (AIN) partners. I also served a dedicated underwriter for one of our member firms, The Creekmore Agency. I was presented with "the Service Excellence Award" for the fourth quarter of 2013.
I handled all aspects of underwriting in the Independent Distribution for Metropolitan Life, General American, and New England Financial. I also participated in training classes for new underwriting employees, served in the Underwriting Focus Group, was part of the Business lead team which concentrated on initiatives for changes and improvements to the underwriting system, performed suitability reviews on UL cases, and was one of only 7 underwriters authorized to process change cases.
I handled all aspects of new business underwriting providing concierge level service for our individual Presidents Council and Presidents Conference Qualifiers for Metropolitan Life, General American, and New England Financial. I was selected on several occasions to travel to our Boston office to assist with their work flow in particularly high volume periods. In 2004, I was appointed to help facilitate the transition of our General American Independent Distribution unit from St Louis, MO to Bridgewater, NJ. While serving in this capacity, I participated in the training of new hires on the underwriting systems and practices, conducted underwriting and NOGO/IGO audits, served as the back up to the AVP of Independent distribution, and assumed sole responsibility for the quick quote work flow. My performance lead the AVP to state in my performance review that the Independent Distribution unit "could not have moved to Bridgewater without the strong skills" I brought to the table.
Reviewed, evaluated, and provided second signature approval on all sub-standard New Business Life insurance underwriting decisions and all policy change business while providing support and training to the underwriting department regarding case development and standard procedures.
