• Provides creative, visual, and technical leadership for the design and development of e-learning course elements (activities, interactions, games, scenarios, simulations, etc.) to promote the highest level of engagement and interactivity • Independently creates and implements visually appealing templates and intuitive user interfaces for e-learning courses delivered via desktop and mobile-responsive methodology • Integrates a variety of multimedia elements (graphics, animations, video, audio narration, etc.) into e-learning courses in order to enhance the user experience • Partners with Continuing Education Content Managers, other Instructional Designers and managers to craft and execute e-learning course design plans, development goals and delivery timelines • Conducts quality assurance reviews and tests for course functionality/improvement of user experience • Collaborates and provides guidance to Testing and Continuing Education Operations team regarding the publication process to ensure that courses meet end product business requirements
Owns the design, development, rollout, and continuous improvement of training programs and courseware in line with company objectives and emerging business needs, including but not limited to: • Role-based curricula. • Course outlines, descriptions, and objectives. • Training courseware (e-learning modules, virtual training, live classroom, and experiential) • Facilitator guides/instructions. • Successful completion metrics. • Evaluations (L1 and L2 as appropriate). • Incorporates feedback from SMEs, internal stakeholders, master facilitators and training specialists as needed Maintains training program quality and integrity by: • Supporting the development of and adhering to minimum standards of learning excellence. • Providing coaching and mentoring to master trainers as needed. • Using and developing standard tools and templates. • Incorporating elements of engagement and experiential learning appropriate to program objectives. • Conducts training needs assessments where applicable. • Ensures alignment of training with our mission, values, and patient promise. • Delivers Train the Trainer to master trainers and supports initial training rollouts to in-market resources as needed. • Manages aspects of the Learning Management System such as user records, pulling reports, loading, and testing courses.
Instructional Design, Training and Curriculum Development for Columbia’s Online Campus • eLearning Systems Management and Mastery Working Knowledge of the Following: Canvas CourseWorks, Adobe Connect and Adobe Photoshop. • Technical Training: trains Instructors on how to navigate instructional design settings in the online campus. • Managing eLearning Modules for each session – e.g. proofreading, formatting, graphic design and audio elements. • Course Deployment: creates course designs (codes, link accessibility, structure: Modules, Assignments, Collaborations, Discussions, People, Grades, Library Reserves, Announcements, Discussion Boards, and Student Rosters) and deploys courses each semester for instructor and student navigability. • Content Management: consistently provides updated content via course Modules, Assignments, Announcements and Collaborations in Canvas. • System and Analytical Reporting: creates Quality Improvement and Participation Reports (i.e. 6-10 page report on each Live Session/Class which includes technological troubleshooting issues and student participation [poll responses, chats, webcam, mic, etc.]) • Technical Documentation: creates both User Guides and Help Buttons for Instructor/Faculty and Students to access in Canvas. • Extensive Experience with the following eLearning Content Standards: SCORM (v 1.2) and Tin Can (xAPI). • Reviews instructional strategy and design document deliverables, and instructional materials for comprehension, consistency and instructional integrity. • User Support: provides technical troubleshooting assistance for Instructors/Faculty and Students to improve User Experience (e.g. Adobe Connect accessibility, connectivity [bandwidth, user ID/Password] issues, Audio Setup Wizard, etc.). • Preparing and leading a mini lesson during one or more live sessions.
• Lead KnowBe4 Cybersecurity Awareness Trainings for Brearley faculty and staff • JAMF, Mac OSx, Chromebook and terminal installations • Analyze system issues and provide resolutions • Manage faculty, staff and student support inquiries in a timely and accurate manner. • Escalate complex support requests to relevant IT staffs for resolutions. • Understand support problems, analyze problem data and determine appropriate solutions. • Maintain problem documentations and their resolution procedures for reference procedures. • Plan and complete daily assigned tasks within deadlines. • Maintain confidentiality and security of organizational documents and customers. • Report system downtime and performance issues to Director of IT. • Ensure to follow standard operating procedures and meet service level agreements. • Install, configure and maintain software and hardware systems. • Assist in development and enhancement of IT systems. • Assess potential risks and technical challenges and prepare appropriate mitigation plans. • Conduct IT related trainings to new hires, end users and technical teams as needed. • Recommend process improvements to ensure system reliability, scalability, security, integrity and performance. • Work in compliance with department safety and quality standards.
