Interior design is more than just my occupation; it's my passion. As a child, rather than spending my free time playing at the park, I often hung out with my uncle, an incredibly talented self-taught interior designer. Much of my free time was spent with him in furniture stores and model homes. At home, I loved rearranging the furniture in my bedroom and the living room, always on a quest for the perfect arrangement of furniture and decorative elements. I love to create spaces that are both beautiful and functional because, whether it's one's home or workspace, being there should make one feel good. Working closely with clients to define their vision and their current and future needs is very important to my approach to interior design. I especially enjoy exceeding my clients’ expectations by creating designs that include unexpected or innovative elements that surprise and delight them. My work at Rubin's Furniture in Madison, Wisconsin has given me the opportunity to work with a wide variety of clients to create spaces for them that make them feel happy, productive, relaxed or energized, depending on the project and the client. Prospective clients are welcome to meet with me at Rubin's Furniture so that we can explore ways to transform their space. In addition to my residential interior design work, I also enjoy doing commercial design as well as kitchen and bath design.
