I recently stepped into the role of CISO after starting my journey as network technician and later in network and security engineering, but I still carry that hands-on mindset with me every day. I’m continuously learning the broader aspects of security leadership, with a focus on improving security posture, understanding risk, and supporting the business in a practical way. I’m also a strong believer that security starts with people, and I actively promote awareness as a key part of any defense strategy. Outside of work, I enjoy staying close to the technical side and playing OSINT CTFs (and i must confess, Rocket League as well 😉), following emerging technologies, and lately exploring how AI is shaping both opportunities and challenges in cybersecurity.
As a Network Engineer I spend most of my time maintaining, renewing, expanding and guarding the high availability of the WAN infrastructure with minimal down time. Providing technical support/maintenance on installed base of Cisco routers/switches and Juniper SRX in clustered environement, Compumatica hardware encryptors and Ipanema SD-WAN solution. Coordinating resources where necessary and serving as escalation point concerning a specific part of the network. Monitoring WAN performance/availability of 140 multihomed branches spread all over the world using tools like CA E-Health, Solarwinds, Cacti and Ipanema Salsa, Troubleshooting/resolving IP network incidents and outages. Participating in projects and collaborating with network architect on network optimization, while also working closely with other operational teams we align services to customers' demands. Being part of a team that offers 24/7 response on network issues.
