I spent 3 months doing an Actuarial internship with Aegon UK. During my time there I worked on optimising groupings for Prophet models using SAS and I also worked on evaluating the effectiveness of statistical tests used in the out of sample process.
I spent two months interning at EnQuest for their metering team. I developed a heat chart to help automatically visualise the health of the offshore meters at EnQuest's operated assets and flag the meters as non operational if they failed to meet certain criteria. I predominantly used Excel and Pi Vision to create this tool. I coded extensively in VBA to fully automate this procedure. I brought together 2 different areas, Maximo and PI data, for the first time at EnQuest to allow for simultaneous use of live meter readings and up to date maintenance information.
