Leading high performing legal teams delivering strategic and high value solutions to our dynamic enterprise supply chain management and technology functions, including two teams of lawyers, paralegals and other legal professionals that provide: legal expertise on all complex, strategic and high value technology, cybersecurity, AI and consulting matters enterprise-wide at Enbridge; and centralized high impact legal review, drafting and negotiation of commercial procurement transactions.
Advising on complex corporate and commercial transactions and matters related to renewable energy investments, real estate strategies and leasing, technology and information services matters, intellectual property portfolio management, and mergers and acquisitions. Some highlights include: - $30.4 billion transfer of its Canadian liquids pipelines business and certain Canadian renewable energy assets to a subsidiary of Enbridge Income Fund in 2015. - Legal transition team for the Enbridge - Spectra merger in 2017. - Purchase of Enbridge's interest in the 300MW Blackspring Ridge Wind Farm (with partner EDF) in 2013. - Centralizing and managing Enbridge's trademark and domain portfolio. - Harmonization and roll-out of single enterprise contracts policy.
Represented Enbridge in a wide range of corporate and commercial matters, including a particular focus on Enbridge's investments in several renewable energy projects, including the Sarnia (80MW) and Amherstburg solar farms and the Greenwich and Talbot windfarms. Led the development and implementation of several enterprise wide programs and systems in partnership with other cross-functional leaders, including: - records and information management program in partnership with other internal stakeholders; - contracts management system; - internal e-discovery capabilities and managed an in-house discovery team for major litigation; and - contract review and administration policies.
Represented lenders, owners and major commercial tenants on commercial real estate financing, leasing, purchases and sales.
