I have worked in marketing & communications for nearly all my career, initially product planning in the motor industry (Ford of Europe) and then marketing in the printing & packaging industry (Goss International, PrintCity Alliance).     During the period July 2006 to end December 2012 inclusive, I was responsible for growing the PrintCity Alliance brand and its market awareness and impact worldwide. Highlights included two International journalist inward mission pre-Drupa Media Events (60+ journalist press conference weeks) in Germany in February 2008 and again in February 2012, plus high investment / high payback alliance exhibiting at Drupa, Ipex and other international exhibition/fair/tradeshow planning and delivery. This included co-organising the PrintCity Alliance International Environmental Conference at Drupa Duesseldorf in May 2012. Each year 2006-2012 the PrintCity Alliance gained over 2 million Euro in advertising/PR/marcoms ‘equivalent value’ through the marcoms and PR work I did, with a ZERO global marketing budget - rather unique! Additionally I was involved with all other PrintCity Alliance international customer events and all alliance member activities 2006-2012. The PrintCity Alliance was made up of around 25+ European/International leading businesses in the printing, packaging and graphic arts sectors. Working together through the alliance, they shared global industry research knowledge, best practice and learnings, to improve the whole industry. Throughout I worked very closely with manroland in Germany, including contributing to various manroland initiatives, projects and successes 2006-end 2012.
