I currently lead the Trim & Final Process Engineering, Lifecycle Model Years, and Industrial Engineering teams, providing engineering and technical delivery leadership to design, develop and implement the manufacturing processes and equipment to successfully launch the next generation of Jaguar Land Rover’s electrified vehicles into the Halewood production facility. My teams are also responsible for all new vehicle launches and model year facelifts/updates into Jaguar Land Rover’s international facilities in Pune (India), Itatiaia (Brazil) and Graz (Austria). Key Responsibilities Include: * Managing a multi-functional manufacturing engineering team through the engineering process from product conception through to delivery. * Leading the planning, specification, installation and delivery of manufacturing production equipment, processes and facilities. * Ensuring feasibility of all designs to suit manufacturing build requirements, Design for Assembly (DFA) and alignment to the Bill of Process (BOP) * Leading the manufacturing team through the engineering change process from its conception through to final approval. * Identifying opportunities & implementing plans which pro-actively drive engineering continuous improvement. * Managing the development and submission of departmental responses to product letters etc. * Develop and monitor the design and installation project timing plans and manage expenditure budgets through effective financial control. * Carrying out feasibility studies and providing the manufacturing engineering financial submission for new project proposals.
Responsible for leading a team of Process Engineers, delivering the next generation of Jaguar Land Rover’s electrified vehicles, beginning in the product feasibility & planning stages, all the way through to vehicle production.
Lead Manufacturing Engineer, responsible for the introduction of new vehicle model introduction, and vehicle line model year updates/facelifts, into the JLR Manufacturing Facilites in Itatiaia (Brazil), Pune (India) and Graz (Austria). Leading a team of engineers based in the UK, and on site internationally supporting launches and facility commissioning. Key deliverables include: * Project Management of international programmes * Facilities and infrastructure implementation. * Validation of lead plant processes, and implementation of a low volume, low cost solution in-market. * Bill of Material analysis and validation prior to launch. * PFMEA analysis and creation. * Jig, Fixture & Tooling design. * CAD assessment of vehicle/facility data. * Feasibility studies of potential new products/projects in-market. * Liaising with other international plants to ensure process continuity and standardised work. * DC & Power tooling, torque strategy assessment/implementation. * Attending and supporting build phases (Pilot/PP/TT/MP1) in market. Successes to date: * Introduction of 19MY, 20MY and 21MY Range Rover Evoque and Discovery Sport. * Insourcing of the Powertrain/Underbody/Axle components assembly from an external contractor, into the Itatiaia facility in Brazil * Introduction of the All New Range Rover Evoque into India
