I manage equity taxation for mobile employees, with a focus on compliance and reducing risk and exposure profile for both the company and its employees. I continuously manage the appropriate tax positions and policies for over sixty countries and ensure accurate employee reporting and withholding on a global level. I seek to deliver value from the very beginning stages of program implementation to driving initiatives focused on improving processes and enhancing employee experience. In addition, my background from my public accounting history also consists of managing global mobility tax programs in areas of employee tax compliance. Core services included global coordination on employee tax returns and tax equalization calculations, tax consultations, and other tax and payroll calculations that may be required in various countries.
I currently manage various aspects of RSU taxation with respect to mobile employees, including payroll reporting and withholding, payroll compliance, and internal education/communication efforts.
In the area of Equity Consulting: • Advise on determining country tax positions and policies for over fifty countries and update for developments, as needed • Drive initiatives such as policy updates, tax position optimization, and employee education • Utilize PwC shareTax calculation engine to provide tax calculations on equity vesting and exercise activity, and review the calculations for accuracy • Provide excellent experience to employees in educating them on the tax implications of their transfer, and respond to questions in timely manner In the area of Global Mobility: • Manage global mobility tax programs for mobile employee populations of one to several hundred to ensure employee tax compliance across various countries • Advise companies on mobility tax policies that fit them as an employer and their custom employee population • Deliver accurate quality US tax returns for mobile employees and coordinate worldwide foreign tax filings • Deliver international assignment-related calculations such as compensation detail, tax equalizations, hypothetical tax withholdings, and cross-border equity payroll calculations
