I’m a hardworking, organised, highly motivated individual, with a passion for Computing, Technology and the Education industry. As a Computer and Secondary Computer Science Teacher Graduate from Edge Hill University, I’m currently employed as a Secondary Computing, ICT and Business teacher at the UTC Leeds. Within the position, I'm looking to help both individuals and organisations grow, especially through the use of new technology being implemented within the classroom. During the experience of gaining my Degrees and working within the Education Sector, I have developed multiple academic and personal skills that can be utilised into becoming an outstanding member of any organisation.
I was the subject lead for the Computing and ICT at UTC Leeds. Which requires me to ensure that the development of the subjects is kept up-to-date with changes in the curriculum. I also plan, prepare and deliver lessons that follow the Department’s scheme of work, during this process I need to ensure that lessons are suitably differentiated and appropriate to all members of the class. I’m required to maintain accurate and up-to-date record keeping for all classes, to be used in conjunction with providing feedback to pupils and parents/ guardians through writing appropriate academic reports, attending parents evenings and communication via digital methods. I also tutor a group of students. This includes registering the group each morning, monitoring their attendance and providing pastoral and academic support.
