I am passionate about turning data into knowledge, and using math, models and algorithms for better decision making. I have had the opportunity to work within different industries and areas of application, such as container liner shipping, airline revenue management and now offshore wind farms.
Applying mathematical optimisation and data science to further advance the design, operation and maintenance of present and future offshore wind farms.
Postdoctoral researcher in the field of Operations Research, applied Mathematical Modelling and Optimization, in close collaboration with the liner shipping company Maersk. We developed an optimisation tool to mitigate the effects of and recover from disruptions within liner shipping operations. The optimisation models and algorithms are being implemented as a decision support tool for marine operators.
Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in the field of Operations Research, Mathematical Modelling and Optimization in collaboration with the liner shipping company Maersk. My research included linear and mixed integer programming, mathematical modelling, network optimisation and its applications within maritime transportation. Teaching within Network Optimisation and supervision of various master thesis projects. Ph.D. dissertation title: Models and Methods for the Design and Support of Liner Shipping Networks.
Research intern in the area of Airline Revenue Management and Revenue Optimization. Further development and testing of a revenue management simulator. Simulation study on strategic customer behaviour in revenue management.
Internship at the Revenue Optimization group. Development of a monthly revenue forecast based on macroeconomic data and seat offer. Analytical support of business operations.
