Leading industry vision for HP's Retail & Industry Solutions business | Talking advanced technology solutions with HP's global network of retail and hospitality customers and technology partners.
HP (Hewlett Packard, NYSE: HPQ) is a global company that develops and provides innovative computer hardware and accessories. Since entering the point of sale business less than 10 years ago, they have become the third largest manufacturer globally and continue to scale their business in both the retail and hospitality segments. My company, pcAmerica, was as an HP partner and strong reseller of HP point of sale products for over five years. After selling pcAmerica, I decided to join HP's team in a global strategy and business development role. I'm employing my 20+ years of point of sale experience and relationships to focus on the primary tasks of: * Grow awareness of HP's products and services within the restaurant and hospitality industry * Relationship building with hospitality\restaurant point of sale ISVs (software developers) * Design new and creative go-to-market strategies to for horizontal and vertical growth of HP's POS business * Network and interact with large retailers, hospitality businesses and the technology providers who serve them * Assist partners and HP teams globally (in the Americas, Europe\Middle East and Asia) to execute on the above, and to assist them with large opportunities

Heartland (NYSE;HPY) is the fifth largest credit card processor and third largest publicly-traded payroll processor in the United States. They acquired my point of sale software company, pcAmerica, in February of 2015 – at which point I joined their team under a one-year contract to complete the transition of the business into their newly-formed Heartland Commerce division.
pcAmerica is a point of sale software developer that focused on both retail and restaurant point of sale software. Its point of sale software, Cash Register Express POS for retail stores and Restaurant Pro Express POS for restaurants, sold over 85,000 licenses over its award-winning history. During my tenure as CEO and owner at pcAmerica, the company nearly tripled its sales and had substantial growth in its gross profits. The company grew from 12 employees to over 60 in order to support large distribution deals with Dell Computer, First Data, Bluestar and ScanSource. A great focus was placed on enhancing the feature set and scalability of the POS software, which made it the solution of choice for Flowers Foods (300 locations), Baskin-Robbins, Goodwill industry and several thousand independent businesses. pcAmerica also significantly enhanced its partnership strategy which resulted in hundreds of new resellers that helped scale distribution to new heights. pcAmerica was sold to Heartland Payment Systems in February of 2015.
As Director of Product Management, I worked closely with the internal sales team, reseller partners and end users to understand the needs within our industry. I worked to translate those needs into deployable solutions and ensured feedback loops were in place to measure the results.
