- Collaborated with the CTO to shape the overall architecture and design of APIs and messaging system of a PCI-compliant payment aggregator that accepts payments, amongst others, through cards using multiple Payment Service Providers, Apple Pay, Google Pay and Trustly. - Heavily involved in the setup of the payment aggregator's infrastructure across multiple environments on AWS using Terraform and established efficient GitLab pipelines. - Contributed significantly to the UI design, UX and wireframing of a new native iOS and Android application, showcasing Zeply's flagship crypto offering. - Played an important role in designing an event-driven architecture for multiple microservices supporting the new innovative native application. - Spearheaded the initial phases of the Zeply Cards project, overseeing tasks such as information gathering from the cards issuer, API and messaging design, and wireframing the new Cards offering in the native application. - Instilled a quality-first mindset within development and product teams through daily interactions, emphasizing the importance of delivering top-quality products. - An integral part of the recruitment process for Product Owners, Python developers, TypeScript developers and DevOps.
- Worked on a test metric gathering tool that obtains information related to unit tests to present test status, coverage and issues to higher management on Kibana dashboards - Started making use of a new test framework by writing critical tests that serve as a quality gate during the progression of code between different environments. These tests also serve the purpose of being practical examples for developers to write new end-to-end tests themselves as part of a sprint. - Added new event listener modules to this new framework so that notifications are sent during test execution - Consolidated the build-deploy-test execution flow on TeamCity, Octopus and OpenShift. Test modules are published as NuGet packages and the test runner is packaged into a Docker image. Test execution uses these and happens within a Kubernetes job. Test result reports are generated and Slack notifications are sent.
- Created an automation test framework in TypeScript, which uses Angular 11’s Test Bed, Mocha and Chai in order to test the middleware SDK - The framework was integrated into a build pipeline triggered by Git commits on Jenkins that automatically builds and deploys the different microservices on the relevant environment. After which the framework is built as a Docker image and the tests are executed as Kubernetes jobs on Google Cloud Platform. - Piloted a project to change the build tool used in the production code from Maven to Bazel - Wrote a regression test suite that covered the entirety of the web applications’ features - Designed and executed performance tests using JMeter - Wrote several PoCs for UI automation test frameworks
- Led and mentored an automation team whose members were part of various dev teams within the Core function of the company - Created an automation test framework in C#, Cucumber and SpecFlow, which was used by the various test engineers to write automated tests for their specific functions - Was involved in a new team that was set up to create a new core functionality based on the microservice architecture. Led a team of 3 developers in test and designed and implemented a new structured framework with the purpose of it being used by the different teams and groups within the company - Designed and implemented a reporting tool where all the different test functions around the company could report to in order to standardise and group test reports - Created and delivered courses to all development teams and product teams on how to written feature specification in Gherkin and on how to use our test frameworks
