Worked as part of the small team that manages the Dutch State's ca. EUR 30 billion of financial investments in ABN AMRO Bank, ASR (Dutch insurer), Propertize, Vivat and De Volksbank (the latter three all formerly part of the SNS Reaal group). Was lead responsible as Managing Director for the investments in ASR and De Volksbank, including the preparation and execution - as shareholder - of the IPO and full sell-down of ASR in 2016/2017. Day-to-day management of the investments included: engagement with the supervisory and managing boards on financial, strategic and governance topics; review and approval of investments; regular interaction with external advisors and interested parties in respect of the sale of the State's shareholdings. Also interfaced regularly with the Ministry of Finance and advised the minister of Finance on topics related to the shareholdings, the various privatization alternatives and helping answer questions from Parliament related to the entities.
