Freiburg, Baden-Württemberg, Germany
Combining a legal background, a longterm experience in politics and media relations with my technical interest and a strong enthusiasm I am able to work on high complex topics, to develop strategies and to build trustful and stable relationships.
EnBW Energie Baden-Württemberg AG ist one of the largest energy companies in Germany. As a Legal Counsel I am advising the grid companies in the group in the area of competition law, regulatory law and energy law. I also develop strategic approaches for the litigation.
The Regulatory Authority for the Energy Sector is responsible for the regulation of the electricity and gas grid operators in Baden-Württemberg. The State Cartel Office is the antitrust authority of the energy sector. As a lawyer I was working in both areas with a current focus on the antitrust law. There I represented the State especially in antitrust proceedings against energy companies and municipalities. • The regulatory investigation of the circumstances of each individual case and its legal assessment • Making final decisions and the enforcement • The coordination with the other federal and state antitrust authorities and with the Federal Network Agency • The legal representation of the authority before the Higher Regional Court and the Federal Court of Justice
