Various roles, culminating in General Manager for Engineering (Europe). 1988 to 1998 – Universal Pipe Coaters – Project Manager for all North Sea projects. 2005 to 2015 – Established, built and ran Global Anti-Corrosion Techniques in Saudi Arabia providing pipe coating services to Aramco and other Gulf oil, gas and water companies.

Transferred from Wasco Germany to Wasco Europe, Goor, Netherlands to provide engineering and technical support to Wasco and engineering subsidiary Turn Key Pipeline Services (TKPS) Key areas of activity include: Technical support for the design, procurement, manufacture, and installation of a coating facility in Qatar, scheduled for completion in 2021. The facility will provide anti-corrosion and weight coating for offshore gas pipelines. The concrete coating facility is based around an innovative vertical slip forming process offering considerable economic and quality improvements over current processes. Technical support for the design and major refurbishment of a 3layer coating plant and internal paint plant in Kuantan, Malaysia for sale to Japanese Pipe Mill at Fukuyama. Management and technical support for the design, manufacture, installation, and commissioning of a new applicator for a wrap-on concrete coating plant in Thisvi, Greece. Development of spreadsheets and tools for calculating and defining materials use, mix designs, coating parameters, plant settings, production limits and costs. Management, technical support and coordination for various plant upgrades, new developments and R&D. Technical support for sales of equipment and new major pipe coating tenders worldwide.

Transferred from EWPPC Canada to manage the re-mobilization of an existing concrete coating facility in Mukran, Germany to provide high density concrete weight coating to pipes for the Nord Stream II project. Key areas of activity include: Overall management of the refurbishment and mobilization of a 20,000 Sq.M pipe coating and curing facility incorporating new and existing equipment. Integration of new equipment with refurbished equipment from other facilities, including seamless integration of programming. Selection and management of major equipment suppliers and installation contractors. Help set up an Integrated Management Structure.
Engineering consulting services and Project Management on behalf of Lewis PCS, to a Japanese pipe mill for a major upgrade of pipe coating facilities in Fukuyama, Japan. Project includes major renovation of existing plant and addition of new key equipment and systems to meet international standards on internal liquid and external polymer coatings. On completion of upgrades, consultancy would continue with coating project management services.
Globetech is a Saudi Arabian owned company engaged in application of liquid, fusion bonded epoxy and polymer coatings to the internal and external surfaces of pipes and spools for the oil, gas and water industries. Globetech currently employs over 400 personnel on two sites. Based in Jubail, Saudi Arabia, responsible for: Technical support for all on site and field activities. Review technical requirements for all projects. Represent the company at technical meetings with clients and suppliers. Overall management of all engineering activities including design, procurement, manufacture and installation of major modifications and upgrades. Major Projects and support activities: Design, procurement, manufacture and installation of a wrap on concrete coating facility. Upgrades to internal and external coating plants for coating of 410 Km of 28 inch pipes for Takreer Abu Dhabi Project. Design, procurement and installation of a new double jointing facility.
Overall management of Global anti corrosion Techniques Ltd. (Globetech) operations. Key areas of activity include: General overall company management, reporting to the Chairman and Partners Major Projects and support activities: Provide technical support and consultancy for the establishment of a sister company in Jubail for internal and external coating of large diameter (up to 2.6m) pipes for the water industry. This Company was subsequently absorbed into Globetech. Overall management of tendering and execution of over 50 coating contracts including over 500km pipeline for SWCC Shuqaiq project and over 700km of pipes for various Aramco projects. Management of plant commissioning, coating trials and approvals from major clients such as Saudi Aramco, SWCC and ADWEA. Heading the management team to establish Globetech as a new company. Managing design, procurement, fabrication and installation of all aspects relating to the development of a 10 Ha. green-field site through to completion of a large pipe and custom coating facility, including civil and building works. Establishing and developing relationships with potential clients and suppliers in the region. Managing development of procedures, systems and recruitment associated with set up of an engineering production company.
