I am responsible for Production Control, Supply Chain, Customer Service, IT and Logistics. In this position I am responsible for implementing actions to determine inventory levels that are appropriate to properly support operations and to reduce excess inventories. The inventory reductions also involve reduction of warehousing and establishment of optimal material flow throughout the organization. The Customer Service role involves negotiation with customers, primarily Honda and GM, to provide mutually agreeable QCD solutions to business requirements. The IT area provides systems automation resources to the business enterprise. These goals are being accomplished by evaluation and elimination of unnesessary safety stocks, increase in changeovers, reduction in internal and external lead times, and increasing requirements for supplier accountability for performance.
