I am a Retired Executive Leader and Administrator-Scholar educated in the discipline of Higher Education and Organizational Development and Management at the doctoral level. I possess a critical understanding of the aims, mission, and practices of colleges and universities in the United States. I am a higher education practitioner with experience at the executive level (Chief of Staff - 5 years and Vice President Interim - 16 months for the Division of Student Affairs and experience at the middle-management - Director level for over 12 years). I have been employed by various institutions including Savannah State University, Georgia State University, Gouizeta School of Business - Emory University, Wharton School of Business - University of Pennsylvania and Central Texas College - European Division (Germany). I have worked in the public and private sectors. My first career was with the United States Army (20 years) with assignments across the world including North America, Central America, Europe, Asia, and the Middle East.
Served as an Executive Leader in the position of Chief of Staff and Special Assistant to the President for Strategy, Diversity and International Initiatives for President Cheryl D. Dozier (the 13th President of Savannah State University) in the Office of the President. Retired effective March 1, 2018.
Appointed as the Vice President (interim) by the president in April 2013. As an Executive Leader was Responsible for conceptualizing, planning, organizing, implementing and evaluating student affairs initiatives that address the University's long- and short-term goals for student affairs. Provide overall leadership, planning and program development and coordination of the following units: student life, Greek life, counseling & disability services, ombudsman, career services, residential life, health services, student judicial process, intramural sports & wellness, student government, and divisional annual budget; interface effectively with academic affairs to integrate academic and student development programs and activities.

Served as Interim Director and Assistant Director in the Divison of Student Affairs for the Office of African American Student Services and Programs (OAASS&P). Part of the Multicultural Programs/Affairs Sub-Divison. Georgia State University graduates more black students than any other college or university in America (with the exception of two online schools). OAASS&P has played a major role in this accomplishment through the years.
Assistant Director for Law Career Services for Georgia State University. Worked with 1Ls, 2Ls, 3Ls, and Law School Alumni in preparing for and securing internships, permanent legal, corporate, government, non-profit, etc., employment. Served as an advisor and career coach for students and alumni. Assistant alumni with recareering strategies. Worked with employers from around the country. Organized job fairs and collaborated with others in organizing local, regional, and national job fairs.
Worked with BBA and MBA students and Alumni at the Goizueta School of Business and employers from around the country. Took students on Career Treks to New York City for employer information sessions and interviews.
Associate Director for MBA Career Management. Worked with over 1,000 MBA Students from around the world. Took students to Wallstreet, Boston, New Jersey, etc., for Employer information sessions and interviews.Worked with employers from around the country.
