I'm a psychiatrist and psychotherapist in New York. Over twenty years I've worked across university health, academic medicine, and private practice. My private practice is intentionally small, which allows for the kind of attentive, ongoing care I think works best. My clinical background includes child and adolescent psychiatry, couples therapy, general adult psychiatry, psychopharmacology, and more recently psychedelic-assisted therapy. When medication is part of treatment, I approach it carefully and collaboratively, with attention to both benefits and side effects, and with ongoing thought about its purpose and duration, including what an off-ramp might look like when that's appropriate. My approach to care includes the broader factors that shape health: sleep, exercise, nutrition, human connection, and how people live day to day. Clinically I draw on psychodynamic thinking, cognitive behavioral approaches, and attachment theory, though I hold these loosely and try to remain curious and flexible about the needs of each person.
Psychiatrist working in a university-health setting, evaluating and treating students navigating the intersection of identity, performance pressure, and early adulthood. I provide psychopharmacological care and work closely with counseling and medical colleagues toward integrated, human-centered support.
Completed therapist training through Fluence in preparation for the first clinical trial of 5-MeO-DMT for treatment-resistant depression, sponsored by Beckley Psych. Training encompassed didactic coursework, experiential learning, and supervised clinical practice — grounding me in the theory, ethics, and hands-on skills that define effective psychedelic-assisted therapy. This experience has equipped me with broad expertise across the rapidly evolving landscape of psychedelic-assisted treatment modalities.
