Hi there, I am Excelerate’s Chairman and CEO and proud to be its founder and 91% shareholder of the business. I used to say I was a qualified helicopter pilot which was of course true, but unless you fly often, at my age I decided (and so did my insurers) that maybes there were less dangerous things I could do so business, boats and cars thankfully remain my vices depending on how well we are doing at the time hee hee. I can’t believe that July 26 2026 marks our 25th anniversary and as one might expect in the field of tech, Excelerate has evolved over the past 25 years. As I look back however it does appear that more change has occurred over the last five years than the previous twenty - in fact I would say the last two have been particularly exciting as years of development and hard work have begun to yield massive improvements, particularly in new industry sectors and geographical regions. Thankfully through all of this we have managed to preserve the culture we created in the beginning which brings an additional dimension than simply owning or running a business, with many of our employees and virtually all of my senior team still here - gosh to think they were in their early twenties when they joined and now they are running the show in their early forties - now that is special and that is a source of immense personal pride.
Hi there, I am Group Executive Chairman and 80% shareholder of Excelerate. I am also a qualified helicopter pilot. Excelerate is a market leader in the provision of Major Incident Ground Technology to Governments and The Emergency Services of Police, Fire and Ambulance in the UK, The Middle East and Australia where we have offices and people supplying and integrating Voice, Video, Data, Internet and 4G Solutions and Applications. This is a part of our business which I am not only immensely proud of but also acutely aware of our responsibilities to provide fit for purpose mission critical capability and round the clock support. I am so excited to be transferring our Know How, Experience, Expertise and our “nothing is too much trouble” attitude into the maritime sector, starting with yachting although we do have quite a few fishing vessels running on our satellite broadband networks in the often punishing locations of the North and Irish Seas. I founded Excelerate with Martin Saunders in 2001 and I am based in the UK but I am spending a lot of my time in our new Maritime subsidiary which is based near Cannes in the South of France. Martin is now resident in the UAE looking after a growing number of Middle East Government clients from our Abu Dhabi based subsidiary. I think our Emergency Services credentials give us an important differentiation but there is more – we actually invent stuff. We are a full end to end technology solutions provider and integrator in all of the markets above. We personally support what we provide 24/7/ 365 and we also provide and manage our own satellite networks throughout Europe, Australia and New Zealand. This is in the process of being expanded to include the Middle East, the Caribbean and Florida.
